Great local acts like Fictionist, Joshua Payne Orchestra, Musclehawk, King Niko, and many more will be performing throughout the weekend.

Also it’s Velo Weekend. Bike lovers unite for a series of events Friday and Saturday. Critical Mass, Tall Bike Jousting, Alley Cat, Trick Comp and Sprints! Registration is $20 and gets you a swag bag, automatic entry into alley cat, trick comp, sprints and raffle, along with lots of other goodies from our sponsors. Register at Fresh (870 e 900 s) from 3-4pm, or join the Critical Mass ride at Gallivan Center at 5:30pm and follow them to Vertical Diner for last-minute registration. Saturday night is Savor the Summit. Celebrate Park City in the summer by dining with over 2,000 people along Main Street. The street is closed to vehicles, but open to the public. To get dinner, make a reservation with your choice now, as they’re selling out fast. Check out the list of restaurants for Savor the Summit, and see what’s available.

Free movies continue at Gallivan Center on Monday, with Indiana Jones & The Temple of Doom beginning at dusk. Bring a blanket and picnic to enjoy (eating chilled monkey brain or human hearts not recommended.) Next week, The Last Crusade.

Did you know there’s actually a genre of music called wizard rock? A number of bands have devoted their songwriting to promoting reading and Harry Potter, and one of the biggest of those bands, Harry & The Potters is playing a show at the Salt Lake Library Wednesday, June 29. Show begins at 6pm, and is free.
