Another weekend has snuck upon us like a werewolf on its prey. Well, now that it’s here, let’s make the best of this, as there is a lot happening, and it would be a shame to let this slip by. Here’s this week’s edition of Around the SL,UT.

It’s that time, winter is setting in and the final day of the Downtown Farmers Market at Pioneer Park is Saturday. Go give it one last visit before it’s gone for the season. Market opens from 8am-1pm.

Saturday night is the Dead Artists Ball at Fat’s Grill & Pool. Dress as your favorite deceased artist and join a gathering of art, music, food, beer, and prizes presented by The Hive Gallery. One of the featured presentations is a teaser trailer screening of Monstrosity, a film being produced by a local filmmaker who’s sure to be on his way to Hollywood. Tickets are $10 at Tower Theatre, or at the door the night of the event. Show begins at 7:30pm, and get to know the people behind this event in this great article from Now In Salt Lake.
