India House

July 10, 2011

Hand-prepared herbs and spices, every ingredient top quality, and the best recipes possible. Quite simply, India House is the place to enjoy Indian food. The only thing this place is lacking is the inequalities of cheap curry powder and cheap packaged spices to mask the lack of flavor. This is the way Indian food is meant to be, fresh, rich, and layers of complex tastes. Get some perfectly baked naan, and finish the meal off with the best gulab jamun.

Atmosphere: Quiet, casual, and very beautifully decorated.

Price: $10-15 per entree (big enough to share, but you’ll try to eat it all)

Drinks: Beer available

Location: 8660 south State Street

Hours: Weekdays 11:30-10. Saturday 12-10. Sunday 4-8.
