Wizards, llamas, rastafarians, and goths. This is what’s in store for you this week.

This weekend is Reggae Fest at Ogden Ampitheater. Featuring local and touring bands like The Dirty Heads, The Supervillains, The Codi Jordan Band, Sober Down, and many more for two days of relaxing in the sun. Tickets are $15 per day, or $25 for a 2-day ticket. Shows are Saturday and Sunday from 1-9pm.

Incidentally, it’s Llama Fest Saturday, July 16. Head down to Spanish Fork for llama relays, music, petting, and food. It’s $3 for adults, $1 for kids. (311 west 8500 south Spanish Fork. Take I-15 exit 257).

The newest and last Harry Potter movie is now in theaters, and Geeks Who Drink will be hosting the party that the grown up wizard fans have been craving. The Geeky Cauldron: A Harry Potter Quiz is Thursday, July 21. It’s a special cash-prize quiz, so bring $5 cash per player to enter, and know your magic. Were you a goth in High School? Was Confetti your club of choice? Well it’s time for a reunion Saturday night at Area 51. Club Confetti Summer Reunion is on from 9pm-2am with DJ Evil K. (July 16)

Kick back, relax, do what you’re meant to this Sunday and sip a bloody mary on the great patio of The Garage, while listening to the tunes spun by DJ Jesse Walker & friends from noon-6pm. If you haven’t been, The Garage has an incredible atmosphere, and very comfortable setting to drink a day away. It’s located at 1199 North Beck Street. It’s just a couple minutes north of downtown.

Don’t forget about the classic movies each weekend at Tower Theatre. This weekend is The Godfather part II.

SLC Jazz Festival, Alt Press Festival, Harry Potter Quiz, Twilight Concerts, and hot pin-up girls playing the accordion! That’s in store for all you fine residents of the SL,UT, and you can get the details right here.

It’s time for the Salt Lake City Jazz Festival. 3 days of great music from local and international musicians are performing on several stages. Tickets are $16 per day, or $35 for a 3-day pass. Beginning at 5:30 Friday, July 8, 4pm Saturday & Sunday.

Saturday is the Salt Lake Library’s Alt Press Fest. Music, performance arts, print arts, film, and more happening around Library Square all day Saturday. Come discover independent publishers who are writing simply for the love of creating.

Celebrate women in music at LadyFest, this Sunday, July 10 at Free Speech Zone beginning at 11am. Tickets are $7 at the gate. Who doesn’t love the accordion? Okay, before you answer that, there’s a group of ladies who just might change your mind. This Monday, July 11, the Accordion Babes Revue rolls into town to entertain you. This isn’t some state fair show, this is pin-up calendar girls who are masters of the accordion. The show is 9pm at Burt’s Tiki Lounge, tickets only $6. Bring extra cash to buy their album and the hot pin-up calendar.
