Free Night of Theater 2011

Enter today to win free theater tickets throughout Utah. Free Night Utah is a program to expose more people to the theatre, and hundreds of free tickets will be distributed through October. However, today is the day you need to enter to be a part of this event.

Sign up today at Now Playing Utah and make your selections of which performances you are interested in. Next week you’ll be notified if you’ve won free tickets. Even if you don’t win, most theatres will offer incentives and other free nights to everyone who has signed up.

Be your favorite Sci-Fi character – in style

Space – the final frontier. We are truly fortunate to have Clark Planetarium doing its thing in the SL,UT so we can have the experience and education about space. Next week, they’re throwing a gala to raise funds to continue their educational programs and maintain their awesome facility.

Clark Planetarium’s Distant Galaxy Gala is September 22, 6:30-10pm. It’s an evening of delicious food, exciting auctions and a galactic Sci-Fi experience. Come as your favorite SCI-FI character and enter the costume contest for exciting prizes.

  • 8:00 pm     Live Auction in Hansen Dome Theatre

It’s $125 per person, a great cause, and sure to be a great time. Get your costume together, and party in sci-fi style.

Coming up on October 22, an afternoon of family friendly science demonstrations, activities and a special screening of Plan 9 From Outer Space in the ATK IMAX Theatre. Dress as your favorite sci-fi character for a costume contest with out-of-this-world prizes! All activities are free. Film starts at 1 pm. Saturday, 10/22 noon – 3 pm, at Clark Planetarium. 10 years of influential film

Beginning today, September 2nd Salt Lake Film Society is celebrating their 10th anniversary by showcasing ten influential independent films, one from each year our doors have been open. All films are FREE FOR MEMBERS. For non-members, $10 passes for all films on sale now at the Broadway and Tower, individual tickets to one film are $5.
