It’s Always Sunny with Geeks Who Drink

August 31, 2011

Tuesday September 20 is the day the Gang Gets Quizzed. It’s an entire quiz devoted to It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. If you love this show, this is your chance to make it pay. Gather your own gang together and come celebrate seven seasons of the show.

Unlike a regular night of quiz, this one has a big cash prize on the line. It’s $5 per player to join, and you can have a team of up to 6 people. The first question is 8pm, and you will want to arrive early, cash in hand, and ready to throw down your knowledge of Sweet Dee, Charlie, and Mac.

This quiz will take place at The Huddle. Check out their new menu before the quiz, because you wouldn’t want to compete on an empty stomach. RSVP & share the invite with your friends, because the bigger this quiz gets, the bigger the cash prize!

Monday night is for your quiz-family now

August 17, 2011

Now you can cure your case of the Mondays with a great new event at a very cool new pub. Geeks Who Drink is coming to The Devil’s Daughter for a Monday-Night quiz. Laughs, prizes, drinks, food, and a relaxing night with your friends. Worried about going out on a Monday? No problem, quizzes are wrapped up by 10pm which gives you a good night’s sleep. It’s free, and the drinks and food are cheap. You need to eat, right? Come enjoy a great team-activity every week, beginning September 12. The quiz begins at 8pm, but you should show up early to stake out a great seat, enjoy some tasty ribs, and catch up with friends.

About the quiz

If you’ve not been, Geeks Who Drink is a fun, laid-back quiz night. Quizzes are one of the top bar-entertainment in Europe, and growing rapidly here in the U.S. It’s a team activity, up to 6 people per team (no minimum) and the questions are pop-culture, general knowledge, music, movies, science, history, and other random subjects. You don’t need to be a mathlete or a trivia God to enjoy the quiz. Since you’re playing on a team, the collective knowledge base makes for more fun, less pressure. It’s not final friggin’ Jeopardy. And if you don’t have a team, come anyways, talk to your quizmaster, and you will meet some new friends. Many people in SLC have made new friends by showing up solo, and now get together every week with their team. It’s free to play, and there are great prizes throughout the night. Play a sample quiz here.

About the bar

The Devil’s Daughter is a great bar with affordable drinks, and ridiculously great inexpensive food. What kind of food? Baby back ribs, delicious wings, burgers, giant plates of nachos, brisket, and some of the best pulled pork in town. Spacious layout which is perfect for a quiz night, and a great location with plenty of free parking. The Devil’s Daughter is sure to become your new favorite bar. Even the picky people of Yelp have been praising the food and drinks. (Just kidding Yelpers, Jesus loves you.)
